In 2023CES, Sagitar Juchuang officially unveiled the world’s first “thousand-wire” ultra-long-range digital lidar EM4. It is the first product of RoboSense’s new digital architecture EM platform, which integrates many advanced technologies such as digital architecture, crosstalk elimination, full-working photoelectric signal processing, data lossless compression, etc. It has a maximum range of 1,080 lines, a maximum range of 600 meters, and an imaging capacity of 25.92 million points per second, leading the vehicle-mounted lidar into the “thousand-line” era. EM4 can provide 1080P high-definition three-dimensional perception for automobiles, and help high-order intelligent driving and fully automatic driving to achieve better performance.
2023CES: Sagitar Juchuang 1080 Line Vehicle-borne Lidar Debut
Facing the intelligent robot market, RoboSense Sagitar Juchuang has launched two new digital lidar products. Among them, E1R is the world’s first all-solid-state digital laser radar for robots. It is equipped with the world’s first digital SPAD-SoC chip and 2D VCSEL chip. The light-emitting window is small, with an ultra-wide field of view of 120× 90, which can detect the size, contour, distance and other information of objects in real time, and has the reliability of vehicle-level design, helping robots to successfully complete tasks such as obstacle avoidance, mapping and navigation. E1R can support industrial, commercial, intelligent and other types of mobile robots to shuttle in scenes with different lighting conditions, meet the needs from close-range fine sensing to wide-range environmental detection, and greatly improve the working efficiency and safety protection ability of intelligent robots. At present, E1R has gradually started mass production delivery, and will become one of the main products for RoboSense Sagitar Juchuang to realize the shipment explosion in the field of robotic laser radar in 2023.

At the same time, RoboSense Sagitar Juchuang also released the world’s first 192-line hemispherical digital lidar Airy. Airy provides an ultra-wide hemispherical FOV with a horizontal angle of 360 and a vertical angle of 90 with the size of a ping-pong ball, covering a diameter range of 120m, with a detection accuracy of 1.72 million dots per second and ±1cm, and can detect the size, contour, distance and other information of an object in real time, which is suitable for robot application scenarios with omni-directional detection requirements.

Qiu Chunchao, CEO of RoboSense Sagitar Juchuang, said at the press conference that just like the evolution of film cameras to digital cameras, lidar has ushered in a new era of comprehensive digitalization. Since then, the lidar architecture will tend to be mature and stable, and lidar products with different technical routes will be digitally upgraded, thus accelerating its penetration and popularization in the automobile, robot and drone markets. In the future, RoboSense will also bring a series of digital lidar products for different robot scenes.
Active Camera debut: robot vision gives birth to a new category
At this conference, RoboSense Sagitar Juchuang launched a new category of robot vision Active Camera solution. Active Camera is an intelligent ecology that includes sensor hardware, computing core and AI algorithm, and is committed to becoming the eye of universal intelligent robots.

On the hardware level, with the advantage of digitalization, Active Camera is different from the traditional passive camera, which realizes the fusion of digital signal of lidar and camera information, so that the robot can not only identify accurate three-dimensional environmental distance information, but also perceive rich visual semantic information, and can overcome the influence of environmental interference such as strong light and dark changes, so that the robot has the visual ability beyond human beings.

In deployment and application, robot developers can directly call Active Camera’s mapping, positioning, obstacle avoidance and other capabilities through SDK, which saves the time spent in sensor-driven development, data calibration, data fusion and other processes, and also avoids the bloated and inefficient system caused by stacking sensors. At the same time, Active Camera is compact, simple and easy to use, and can be flexibly deployed in the diverse structures of robots.
In the future, Active Camera will continue to expand its lineup, support a variety of sensor configurations and combinations, meet different requirements of ranging, precision, resolution and anti-interference of ambient light, reduce the difficulty of developing special robots for various sub-scenes, and continue to explore universal, concise and elegant robot vision solutions.
